“I only took the job on because somebody had to”

Since April 2008, most companies haven't had to appoint a Company Secretary but just because the job title has effectively disappeared for most companies, it doesn't mean the end of the responsibilities that went with the role and getting it wrong can mean penalties and fines.

The tasks that the company secretary has always carried out still need to be done and, if you decide to this on, we can give you the support and advice you need to help you to make sure that your company complies fully with company law.

Alternatively, like many company directors, you might decide that you've got better things to do and decide to pass this work on to us which means that you can get on with running your business without having to worry about it.

Where we can help you:

  • Company formations
  • Maintaining statutory registers
  • Completion and filing of statutory forms
  • Filing annual accounts
  • Filing the annual return
  • Drafting minutes and resolutions
  • Share issues, transfers and repurchase of shares
  • Name changes
  • Alterations to the Memorandum and Articles of Association

To make things even easier for you, we can deal with most of these issues online using our link to Companies House.
